Sightseeing Running with the Street Workout specialists is a great way to explore Athens. You'll see famous landmarks while you'll discover a side of the city that you've thought that existed.
Sessions are tailor-made to suit your requirements, fitness level and distance preferences, including routes for both beginners and experienced runners.
In Athens, there are limitless trails and pathways for amateur runners or athletes to enjoy; it’s just a matter of knowing where to go. The Street Workout trainers will show you some of the most important landmarks and sights of the historical center of Athens through a comprehensive running tour
We meet at the Syntagma square, in front of the House of the Greek Parliament and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.
Your route passes through the traditional neighborhood of Plaka and Monastiraki. You will run from Thisio, around the Acropolis monument and through the beautiful pedestrian walkway of Dionysiou Areopagitou which ends up at the surviving columns of the Zeus Temple and Hadrian’s Arch.
From there we continue to the National Gardens, pass the beautiful neoclassical Zappeion Hall and head to the Panathenaic Stadium - the last attraction of the Sightseeing Running.
We will have the opportunity to continue our running inside the stadium, up to the top to breath down while we enjoy the amazing view to Athens... like Olympian Athletes do!
One last stop is at Fokianos Gymnasium, an outdoor training centre opposite the Panathenaic stadium, for some stretching exercises.
